The Rechsteiner Brothers are giving blow jobs - a fictious conceptual performance during the 43rd Art Basel - comments on the states of affairs (whatever this means) and how the worlds of media, technology and especially the world of politics drive on false promises and lies. Girls in glossy magazines don't look like girls, politicians collect votes by promising deeds they don't even consider carrying out, computers don't run as smoothly and fast as they are advertised. This list goes on and on. Besides all this we also would like to comment on two more things: First of all on the pathetic efforts of millions of people who desperately seek fame and attention; and secondly on the exclusivity of certain high art happenings, events where money and appearance rule.
