Recent paintings from the ongoing Bad Painting series.

Bad Painting is not a visual style but a way of working, allowing paint, surface and image to fail before they explain themselves. Over time, the paintings have shifted from illustration towards residue, erosion and a refusal of clarity.

In these works, painting moves away from representation. Language dissolves, statements fade, and figures appear only to disappear again. What remains is not a subject but a condition: proximity, tension and uncertainty.
