The Washroom Talks

The Washroom Talks is an innovative series of video-recorded discussions exploring the essence of art, conducted within public or private washrooms in the London area. Each dialogue undergoes comprehensive analysis, culminating in a statement that serves as the foundation for the subsequent conversation in a new location with diverse participants.

Objective

The overarching objective is to explore the essence of art and compile diverse perspectives, resulting in the creation of the Manuscript of Art.

Participants

Participants are not required to possess an artistic background; everyone is welcome. There is no monetary compensation; instead, participants receive a bar of soap, and in exchange for their involvement, their details and web links can be featured on the project's website.

Every participant must sign a release form granting permission to use the footage and providing copyright for the content generated during the discussion.

The dialogue's direction is guided by the participants, and I refrain from intervening. My role is minimal, with the only potential action being a phone call to signal the conclusion of the talk. The aim is to foster a free and unrestricted conversation, even if it leads individuals to explore realms beyond their customary artistic territories.
