Nature - UnNature
This project explores the relationship between nature and 'un-nature', i.e. the impact and juxtaposition of man-made interventions within a natural environment by placing geometrical 3D objects in natural locations (fields, forests, parks etc.). The position, the colour, the size etc. of the objects are all determined using a mathematical algorithm combined with the common practice of the construction process & its rules.
There is a necessity to contrast nature with the artificial in order to appreciate nature and learn about the importance of it. Without the realisation of this contast we take nature for granted and end up destroying it more and more. Nature is about balance and cycles. It is important to keep the cycles of nature going in order to maintain the needed balance for life.
