T-Bone & London Bridge Station, work #2
The settings of this piece of work are the following:
- London Bridge Station, early morning, 9 Oct 2013
- T-Bone playing and barking in Hackney Downs, London, 12 Nov 2013
There is binary opposition in terms of movement: The camera is still in the left film and following the dog in the other film. The link is adaption ==> In left setting (trains station) the camera adapts to the stillness & loneliness of the space in order to capture what is going on (the deserted station). In the right footage (dogs in the park) the camera captures the running around and playing of the dogs by following the (main) dog.
Mode of display
projection side-by-side in dark room
Background notes (un-edited)
I decided to remove the sound as I find the two juxtaposed pieces of footage have a much stronger impact despite the fact that there is an essential constrast in the audio backgrounds.
